Additionally, the device can be connected to EasySieve® software via an interface for convenient control and evaluation of results.

The RETSCH AS 200 tap is designed for dry sieving with test sieves of 200 mm (8″) diameter, combining horizontal circular motion with vertical tapping to accurately replicate the principle of manual sieving. This uniform mechanical action ensures reliable, reproducible, and standardized particle size analysis, making it especially suitable for materials such as activated carbon, diamonds, spices, metal powders, abrasives, and cement, as required by various international standards.

The RETSCH AS 200 tap is ideally suited for the separation, fractioning, and particle size determination of materials such as abrasives, charcoal, cement, coal, diamonds, and spices, ensuring reliable and reproducible results in accordance with standard sieving methods.
Functional Principle
In the AS 200 tap, mechanical action is applied to the test sieves in two dimensions. In addition to a horizontal circular motion with 280 oscillations, a vertical tapping motion with 150 taps per minute helps the particles to pass the sieve apertures. This combination of sieving motions simulates hand sieving. The number of oscillations and taps is independent of the power frequency which makes the sieving results of the AS 200 tap comparable world wide.
