VersaSCAN Software
VersaSCAN is a scanning electrochemical workstation designed for high-resolution surface characterization and localized electrochemical measurements. It integrates multiple techniques such as Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy (SECM), Localized Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (LEIS), and vibrating probes, offering unmatched versatility for research in corrosion, materials science, and biological interfaces.
To ensure the system performs optimally, users are strongly encouraged to update to the latest VersaSCAN software version (v1.6.6465). This update requires VersaStudio to be installed at version 2.52 or higher.
Update Instructions & Key Notes:
➡️ Download and update VersaStudio to v2.52 or later before updating VersaSCAN
➡️ Download and unzip the new VersaSCAN software folder
➡️ Disconnect all VersaSCAN hardware from the computer before installation
➡️ Launch the VersaSCAN Setup Windows Installer and follow the prompts
➡️ After installation, reconnect the hardware and launch VersaSCAN software
➡️ Use Manual Control to verify that the probe moves in X, Y, and Z directions
➡️ If X, Y, Z controllers were powered off, a Home Routine will automatically run to re-establish positional accuracy
➡️ Ensure clearance before running the Home Routine – each axis has 100 mm travel
➡️ You can cancel the routine to remove obstructions, then safely restart
