Andor’s Optistat range of optical cryostats provide cryogenic sample environments with a variety of design and performance characteristics. Available with liquid Nitrogen (LN2), liquid Helium and Cryofree™ technologies, sample in vacuum and sample in exchange gas systems, with sample temperatures from <2.3K to 500K. Optistat DN-V
Nitrogen bath cryostat – sample in vacuum
This nitrogen cryostat is ideal for experiments which require 77.2 K base temperature, a large sample space and a minimum number of windows in the optical beam path thus reducing reflective losses.

This nitrogen cryostat is ideal for experiments which require 77.2 K base temperature, high sample throughput, and for samples that are difficult to cool by conduction. Its small footprint is ideal in laboratories where space is limited. It doesn’t require any external dewar or transfer tube.

Optistat CF-V
Continuous flow helium cryostat – sample in vacuum
This helium cryostat is well suited for experiments requiring a large sample space and minimum number of windows in the optical beam path (reducing reflective losses). It is also a very versatile instrument as its tail is interchangeable between MicrostatHe and MicrostatHe-R with rectangular tail, ideal for microscopy and magneto-optical Kerr effect applications.

Shining a new light on optical spectroscopy
The bottom-loading OptistatDry BLV for spectroscopy consists of a compact cryostat with optical access, cooled by a closed-cycle refrigerator. This cryogen free cryostat is capable of cooling samples to helium temperatures without the need for liquid cryogens. This provides significant benefits in terms of ease of use and running costs, and enables optical and electrical measurements to be carried out on your samples. It is also very easy to use with the help of our patent pending sample holders, windows, and wiring options.

The top-loading OptistatDry TLEX for spectroscopy comprises a compact cryostat with optical access, cooled by a closed-cycle refrigerator. This provides significant benefits for usability, running costs and enables simultaneous optical and electrical measurements via extensive window access and wiring options.
