Linseis – Thermogravimetric Analysis – TGA
Thermogravimetry (TGA) using a thermobalance is an analytical method in which the change in mass of a sample is measured as a function of temperature and time.
All LINSEIS thermobalances are vacuum-tight and have a top-shell arrangement (furnace above balance), thus ensuring maximum user-friendliness.
The highly sensitive measuring system and the specially developed furnaces allow exceptionally good measurement results at extremely high heating and cooling rates in a temperature range from -150°C to 2400°C.
IDEAL FOR
This method is used, to determine material compositions and is a widely used analysis method in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) is often used for polymers, foodstuffs, medicines and many other materials.
Coupling the thermobalance with a mass spectrometer (TGA-QMS) or “Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy” (TGA-FTIR) is possible at any time. The devices are ideally suited for investigations into thermal decomposition and oxidation.
